"The Innocence"

A series of award winning original acrylic paintings dealing with the state of humanity by Michael James Toomy.

Breaking down subjects to simple blocks of light and dark, he captures the relationship between memory and the moment, provoking the viewer to feel the piece inside, to provoke an emotion response, to make you think for a moment. His works convey a sense that the subject has a real history, a real place in time and that the image is just a fleeting moment in that subjects life.
